Madam Speaker: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the U.S. Speaker of the House (February 4–8, 2019)

This week, Speaker Pelosi welcomed the President and representatives of all three branches of government to the Capitol for this year’s State of the Union address. The Speaker was honored to invite guests to the Capitol who have been impacted by Trump Administration’s policies, including courageous transgender servicemembers whose service is at risk by the President’s discriminatory and hateful ban, families who have lost loved ones to gun violence, health care activists and labor leaders.
