Madam Speaker: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the U.S. Speaker of the House

(February 20–26)

On Wednesday, Madam Speaker held her weekly press conference in the United States Capitol to discuss the crisis in Ukraine and her recent Congressional Delegation to Israel, Germany and the United Kingdom. On Thursday, Madam Speaker joined postal union leaders for a press event celebrating the House’s passage of the Postal Service Reform Act, highlighting the bill’s critical provisions supporting the Post Office. On Friday, she joined Representatives Barbara Lee and Doris Matsui and Bay Area education, research and private sector leaders to highlight the House’s passage of the America COMPETES Act.
