On Sunday, Speaker Pelosi delivered the commencement address to the Class of 2022 at Brown University. Monday, she joined Senator Alex Padilla and members of the military in San Francisco at the National Cemetery for a Memorial Day service.

Tuesday, Speaker Pelosi attended an MNC Inspiring Success event to celebrate 125 years of service to the City and joined members of the Asian Pacific Islander Council to host an AAPI Roundtable discussing immigration issues, anti-AAPI hate efforts and equitable recovery for working families and essential workers.

Wednesday, Speaker Pelosi joined California Moms Demand Action, United Playaz and community activists to hold a Wear Orange press event in recognition of the countless lives affected by gun violence. That night, she joined Mayor London Breed at San Francisco’s Twin Peaks to light the legendary Pink Triangle, marking the arrival of Pride Month.

On Thursday, Speaker Pelosi joined Bay Area Ukrainian community leaders to discuss Congressional support for Ukraine’s defense of Democracy and hear about the issues affecting the Ukrainian community with the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. Friday, she welcomed Her Excellency Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, to the United States Capitol for a bilateral meeting on Finland’s efforts to join NATO, European security, energy security and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
