On Tuesday, Speaker Pelosi welcomed Ambassador Michael Herzog of Israel for a meeting in the United States Capitol. She also greeted officials from the U.S. Army Military District of Washington, met with leaders of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and celebrated the 32nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
On Wednesday, Speaker Pelosi delivered remarks at a statue unveiling ceremony honoring Amelia Earhart in Statuary Hall.
On Thursday, Speaker Pelosi joined Members of Congress, veterans advocate Jon Stewart and former United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin to highlight the importance of passing the Honoring our PACT Act. She then joined the Democratic Women’s Caucus and the Pro-Choice Caucus to share the stories of people impacted by Republicans’ extreme efforts to criminalize abortion. In the afternoon, she joined Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, other Members of Congress and advocates to celebrate the passage of the South Asian Heart Health Awareness and Research Act.
On Friday morning, Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats held a bill enrollment ceremony for the CHIPS and Science Act. In the afternoon, she held her weekly press conference.
