Madam Speaker: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the U.S. Speaker of the House

(August 7–13)

On Tuesday, Speaker Pelosi participated in interviews with Savannah Guthrie of NBC’s Today Show and Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC’s Morning Joe. She then went to the White House for the signing of the CHIPS and Science Act. Back in the United States Capitol, she and House Democrats held a bill enrollment ceremony for the SFC Heath Robinson Honoring our PACT Act.

On Wednesday, Speaker Pelosi joined Chairman Gregory Meeks, Chairman Mark Takano, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene and Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi for a press conference on the Congressional delegation to the Indo-Pacific region. They then hosted a meeting with Representative Hsiao Bi-Khim of Taiwan to the United States.

On Friday, Speaker Pelosi hosted her weekly press conference before House Democrats passed and enrolled the Inflation Reduction Act.
